The improvements have begun for the Aspen Avenue project in south Broken Arrow. Oklahoma Natural Gas is on site at the intersection of Aspen Ave. and Jasper St. to relocate its underground lines. When ONG is done with its work, the city’s contractor will move in later this summer and begin Phase 1 of this project with the reconstruction of the intersection and resurfacing of Aspen Ave. south to the entrance of Indian Springs Sports Complex. On June 16, the City Council awarded the construction contract of Phase 1 to Paragon Contractors, LLC. who submitted the lowest responsible bid of $2,373,118.11.

Since 2014, more than 11 miles of roadway have been widened in Broken Arrow and there are 10.5 more miles currently underway in one of the six phases of a roadway widening project life cycle.
Thank you to the voters who approved the Transportation proposition of the 2018 General Obligation Bond. This bond project would not be possible without your approval of that proposition!
