Due to the hazardous conditions of the neighborhood streets, we must end trash collections early on Monday, January 22, for the safety of our employees and to minimize the risk of damage to personal property. The ice-packed roads have resulted in only 4 percent of the Thursday route being completed by 12 p.m. For context, our crews are typically 65 percent through the Thursday routes by noon.
We expect to resume collections on Tuesday morning beginning where we left off on the Thursday routes, permitting passable residential roadways.
Please put your trash carts at the curb according to the schedule that was released last Friday. That schedule is included below. If we do not get to your carts, please leave them at the curb and we will get to them as quickly as it is safe to do so. As a reminder, we are not charging for extra bags of trash next to your cart this week.
- Normal Thursday route customers will receive service on Monday, January 22
- Normal Monday route customers will receive service on Tuesday, January 23
- Normal Tuesday route customers will receive service on Wednesday, January 24
- Normal Wednesday route customers will receive service on Thursday, January 25
- Normal Thursday route customers will receive service on Friday, January 26
We understand this situation is not ideal, and we appreciate your understanding that ultimately, we must consider the safety of our employees during the extreme weather conditions like we are experiencing now. Thank you for your patience during these extraordinary circumstances.
