The City of Broken Arrow is happy to host the 2022 New Orleans Square Block Party to bring the community together for a celebration of the Independence Day holiday.
The party includes something for everyone - Kids Zone, car show, food trucks and vendors, live music courtesy of The Lords of 52nd Street, and of course an amazing fireworks display that will light up the Broken Arrow sky.
The party kicks off at 6 p.m. on July 1st.
Due to the intersection improvements project at New Orleans Street and Elm Place, the City is taking precautions to create a fun and safe environment for everyone.
- Construction will pause on July 1st and restart on July 2nd
- Intersection will close on July 1st at 4 p.m. and reopen overnight/early July 2nd
- Temporary crosswalks will be created for safe access across New Orleans Street and Elm Place
- Detour route signs will be in place for those not attending the event:
- Ithica Street north of the intersection
- Utica Street south of the intersection
- Juniper Avenue west of the intersection
- Ash Court east of the intersection
- Signage will be posted for access to event parking (northeast, southeast, southwest parking lots)
The northwest parking lot will be where everything happens. Check out our New Orleans Square Block Party webpage for a map of the grounds, detour routes, and updated information as we get closer to the big day on July 1st! Click on the image below to watch a video about the detour routes.
