The City of Broken Arrow will implement a more secure, convenient, and user-friendly utility billing and online payment system for its customers beginning, Monday, June 27, 2022.
To make the transition to the new billing and payment vendor, Paymentus, the current vendor will be taken offline at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. No payments of any kind will be possible during the transition period, this includes the City’s automated voice phone system, online, and in-person payment options. There will be no disconnects for non-payment and no late fees will be assessed until the new payment system is online.
The new vendor is part of an upgrade of the city’s utility billing and accounting system with customer-friendly improvements to align with industrywide standards.
Among the new features customers will experience include:
- “Pay Now” option for quick payment without registering an account
- View and pay multiple accounts at once
- View payment history
- View billing statements
- Month-to-month usage data
- Securely save payment information
- Opt-in for paperless billing with email, text reminders
- Payment scheduling
A kiosk to make a payment 24 hours a day, seven days a week will also be available at local retailers like Reasor’s and Fiesta Mart. The website, PaySite Kiosk Locator, will provide locations to make payments.
“We are excited about these enhancements, and they reflect our continual commitment to providing a superior customer service experience,” said Curt Poole, Utility Billing Customer Service Manager, City of Broken Arrow. “We recognize that customers want flexibility, accessibility, convenience, and a user-friendly experience without sacrificing security. We believe these new features meet our customers’ expectations.”
The automated phone payment system with features such as quick account balance review and payment with a credit card, debit card, or eCheck and an easy-to-use call flow will continue to be available. Payments through any of the available options will not incur a service fee. The Utility Billing Office located at City Hall will also continue to be available during regular business hours.
Again, no payments will be accepted after 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22nd and continuing through Sunday, June 26th. The new system is expected to be online Monday, June 27th.
