Welcome the PMP Newsletter
Message from the Editor:
Hello everyone. Thank you for serving Oklahomans through our medical system.
Firstly, we'd like to praise the tireless efforts of our students across medical professions. Congratulations to all of the students who have graduated! We admire the efforts and strength from the students who are working hard to finish up their studies.
In this newsletter, we'd like to take the time to address concerns about the new Bamboo Health rollout. We also want to discuss data reporting issues certain pharmacies throughout the state are experiencing. We'll then direct you to some available resources, and finally, we will go over some quick reminders to help you stay compliant.

Bamboo Health Changes
We've received calls and emails from registrants who are worried about the PMP and potential changes. Bamboo Health's rollout only changes their own help desk and customer service. It should have no impact on the PMP itself nor your daily use, unless you interact with Bamboo Health on a daily basis. Please click the corresponding link at the bottom of the page to view the Bamboo Health PMP AWARxE Support Center.
Data Reporting
We also want to inform you of a reporting issue in the PMP. We greatly appreciate doctors and medical professionals who brought this reporting issue among certain pharmacies in Oklahoma to our attention.
CVS pharmacies throughout Oklahoma have experienced a technical issue that has prevented their prescription entries in ClearingHouse from entering the PMP. Due to the complexity of the situation, multiple teams are working towards a solution. As of this date, CVS has not identified the problem, but they are instituting multiple installments to try and correct the error.
OBN is dedicated to keeping the data up-to-date and free of errors so that you can provide the best care possible to your patients.

Available Resources
OBN has recently released new training guides for the PMP. They can be accessed in the "Quick Links" section on the PMP Dashboard Homepage on the bottom right-hand side.
Additionally, on the PMP's homepage dashboard, there are resources to assist PMP users with patients who require opioid use disorder treatment. Click on the image on the right side of the homepage with the doctor's coat and stethoscope to find assistance with screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) and 988.
Compliance Reminders
Some quick reminders, every person who prescribes, dispenses, distributes, manufactures, administers or uses for scientific purposes any controlled substances must register with OBN (63 O.S. 2-302). You must be registered with OBN prior to creating a PMP account. You must check your patient's history every 180 days in the PMP for opioids, benzodiazepines, and carisoprodol as required by law (63 O.S. 2-309D).
Upcoming Topics
Next month's newsletter will contain an update on the identified reporting error, pertinent information about law changes that impact prescribing, Registration, and the PMP with the end of the legislative session, and helpful information for new graduates!
