SWACO Launches Initiative
to Reduce Food Waste
In
2016, food waste comprised about 12.8 percent, or 143,616 tons, of the material
entering the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill. With plenty of opportunity to
reduce the amount of food waste going to the landfill, SWACO has launched the Central
Ohio Food Waste Initiative.
