Troopers seize $21,500 worth of suspected heroin and THC wax in Scioto County

COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed a felony drug charge against a North Carolina man after a traffic stop in Scioto County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 100 grams of suspected heroin and 350 grams of THC wax worth approximately $21,500.

On October 8, at 11:55 p.m., troopers stopped a 2019 Toyota Corolla with Maryland registration for marked lanes and following too close violations on State Route 823. The driver was found to be driving without a valid driver license and admitted to having a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the contraband.

The driver, Dennis S. Corr Jr, 38, Durham, N.C., was incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail and charged with possession of heroin, a second-degree felony.

If convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison and up to a $15,000 fine.
