The Ohio Children's Trust Fund re-released Ohio’s Human Trafficking Prevention, Intervention, and Training Services Initiative Request for Grant Applications to prioritize organizations in eastern and southeastern Ohio. 

A Columbus City Schools high school teacher was arrested and charged with one count of compelling prostitution. 

U.S. Senators Rob Portman (R-OH) and Gary Peters (D-MI) introduced bipartisan bills to help combat human trafficking. 

An Akron area man was arrested and charged with compelling prostitution and possessing criminal tools as a part of an investigation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. 

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced a statewide anti-human trafficking sting operation which led to the arrest of 131 individuals who were seeking to buy sex. 

The Columbus City Council voted to increase fines for individuals who purchase sex in the city.
