The Expanding Human Trafficking Justice Act was announced and is slated to be introduced in the Ohio Senate. If passed, the bill would remove the predicate offenses required for victims of trafficking to qualify for expungement of their records in Ohio. 

The Ohio Attorney General’s Human Trafficking Commission released the fourth edition of the Standards of Service for Trafficked Persons.

Human trafficking charges were brought against a former U.S. gymnastics coach. 

Eight men were arrested, including one from Ohio, during an anti-trafficking operation in Jackson County, Indiana.

Toolkit on Safety Planning with Foreign National Children and Youth Survivors of Trafficking
The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants released the Toolkit on Safety Planning with Foreign National Children and Youth Survivors of Trafficking to assist service providers and community partners in serving foreign national minors.

Survivor-Informed Services Guide
The U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime released the Survivor-Informed Services Guide, which provides practical tools to help service providers create intentional partnerships with survivors.

Video Series on Supporting Deaf and DeafBlind Survivors
The National Resource Center for Reaching Victims shared a new video series on how to better support Deaf and DeafBlind survivors.

Listening Sessions on Men and Boys Summary Report
The National Human Trafficking Training and Technical Assistance Center released the summary report following the September 2020 Listening Sessions on Men and Boys.

Frontline to Freedom VI: Changing Perspectives on Human Trafficking 2021
April 22 & 23, 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m., virtual 
The Rape Crisis Center of Medina and Summit Counties is hosting a virtual training to discuss issues surrounding language and imagery used in anti-human trafficking work, intersectional vulnerabilities, and secondary trauma for caregivers and service providers.  Register here. CEUs are available.
