Ohio Human Trafficking Funding Opportunity: Human Trafficking Prevention, Intervention, and Training Services Initiative
The Ohio Children's Trust Fund (OCTF), in partnership with the Governor's Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force, is seeking proposals from service providers to provide human trafficking victim support services, training and professional development, and prevention education. OCTF will award five to eight grants between $30,000 and $50,000 per award.

Seven people have been indicted on charges related to human trafficking, corrupt activity and drug possession.

A teen accused of killing a man in Over-the-Rhine this spring has been identified as a potential victim of labor trafficking.

An Erie County grand jury indicted a Toledo man for allegedly trafficking a developmentally disabled woman for sex in Erie County.

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost and lawmakers announced legislative priorities to address human trafficking, including separating the offenses of buying and selling sex into different offenses, creating a criminal offense for knowingly taking proceeds from a prostitute, and creating a public registry listing arrests of traffickers and purchasers of commercial sex.

Federal and state agents arrested two Cleveland brothers in a human trafficking investigation.

National anti-trafficking leader, Harold D'Souza, recently completed his new book, Frog in a Well: Turning Obstacles to Opportunities, and is taking a month-long trip to India to warn others of labor trafficking recruitment schemes.  

A woman from Gambia, who was sold to a family in Kuwait as a caretaker, was identified as a victim of human trafficking in Cleveland.

Emancipation Nation Podcast
Dr. Celia Williamson has launched her new podcast, Emancipation Nation to provide advocates with ways to competently fight various forms of human trafficking.

Webinar: Serving Victims of Human Trafficking with Developmental Disabilities
The Governor's Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force partnered with the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Bittersweet Farms, Inc. to host a webinar on the intersection of human trafficking and individuals with developmental disabilities. Access the recording here.
