Last month, the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) implemented the Next Generation MyCare program to provide enhanced healthcare benefits to Ohioans who have both Medicaid and Medicare. If you are eligible for the program and live in one of the 29 counties, you now get care through a Next Generation MyCare plan. If you were in the Ohio Home Care, Assisted Living, or PASSPORT Waiver when you were enrolled in the program, you are now enrolled in the MyCare Ohio Waiver.  

Starting on April 1, ODM is rolling out the program in the rest of Ohio. Once the program is available in your county, you will get a letter from ODM that gives you information about your plan, when it begins, and options for changing your plan or coordinating your Medicare and Medicaid coverage.
