We stand with our partners across the state to promote education, expand access to life-saving screenings like mammograms, and address disparities in outcomes—especially among underserved communities.
Ohio Medicaid is putting moms first—and the results are in. The Comprehensive Maternal Care (CMC) program, launched in 2023, is already making a difference for nearly 36,000 women across the state.
By supporting doctors and care teams to focus on the whole health of pregnant and postpartum women—including mental health, community support, and respectful care—Ohio is helping more moms get the care they deserve. With more providers joining every year, CMC is building a healthier future for Ohio’s moms and babies. Read more in the press release.
We know that your needs change so if you have not selected a plan, you still have time!
You have through November 30 to choose the plan that best:
- Works with all or most of your doctors.
- Covers services with the hospitals, clinics, or specialists you want.
- Offers a bit more support, such as extra unemployment assistance, access to nutritious foods, education, and wellness programs, and more.
If you want to keep your current managed care plan, you don’t have to do anything.
If you decide to switch, your new plan will begin covering you on the first day of the month following your selection. For example, if you decide to switch in October, coverage by your newly selected health plan begins November 1.
