MHIA Out in the Community
Representatives from the Ohio Mental Health Insurance Assistance Office (MHIA) participate in events across the state to raise awareness, answer questions, and ensure Ohioans have access to clear and unbiased information about mental health insurance.
Over the last several months MHIA staff were involved in several high-profile events:
- Engaged fairgoers on RecoveryOhio’s Mental Health Day at the Ohio State Fair.
- Attended the OhioPRO Peer Recovery Summit, where recovery professionals and peers gathered to exchange strategies and build meaningful connections.
- Presented during the Focus on Me Action Period Call, highlighting key recovery-focused initiatives. Focus on Me, a quality improvement project comprised of primary care providers across Ohio, is administered by the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center.
- Shared insights and best practices with regional stakeholders at the 23rd Annual Recovery Summit; serving Coshocton, Guernsey, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, and Washington Counties.
- Participated in the First Responder Recruitment and Wellness Summit, a two-day event dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of Ohio’s emergency response professionals.
If you have a mental health event or group that would benefit from MHIA's free mental health insurance information, let us know.
