Election day is less than a week away, and it’s important for homeowners to Know the Value of Your Vote and how levies and bond issues on the ballot could have a substantial impact on the property taxes they will pay.
I hope homeowners will continue to take advantage of the Auditor’s office updated Levy Estimator to understand how levies will affect your property taxes. These levies can help fund essential government services, and they can also be one of the largest factors in determining property taxes.
On your November ballot, there will be one countywide levy. In addition, there will be 19 municipalities with local levies and bond issues in jurisdictions across Franklin County. The funds generated by these levies support things like schools, municipalities, and fire departments.
To use the Levy Estimator, visit https://audr-apps.franklincountyohio.gov/LevyEstimator and enter your address or your parcel number. It will show any levies that are on your ballot based on the location and how they would impact your property taxes.
Make sure you understand what you’re voting for. As you prepare to cast your ballot, the updated levy estimator will prove invaluable in helping homeowners Know the Value of Your Vote.

Michael Stinziano Franklin County Auditor |
Board of Revision Filing Season Begins
Homeowners who disagree with their appraised home value can file with the Franklin County Board of Revision (BOR) beginning Friday, November 8.
The BOR hears complaints on the Auditor’s appraised value of a property and has the authority to make changes based on evidence that homeowners present. The filing period for tax year 2024 runs from Friday, November 8 through Monday, March 31, 2025.
When filing your complaint, keep in mind that the BOR hears complaints about property values, not the tax dollars you pay. Consider submitting supporting documentation with your complaint filing, including items like settlement/closing statements, purchase contracts, and appraisals.
Some cases may be chosen for mediation, which is a less formal process that can be an efficient way to resolve the complaint.
The office will be holding a series of mobile filing events at various locations around Franklin County in the coming months. Details and locations will be posted on the Auditor's office website as they become available.
For more information, visit the Board of Revision website.
