New video from State Superintendent Paolo DeMaria and website updates

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Paolo DeMaria has a new video highlighting some of the latest developments surrounding Ohio’s coronavirus-related ordered school-building closure.

As we navigate this crisis together, it remains important to continue following the social distancing, hand hygiene and infection prevention practices that Governor Mike DeWine and Dr. Amy Acton have urged. Please keep reminding students of safe practices because we are #InThisTogetherOhio.

New information, including graduation requirements and a Remote Learning Resource Guide, has been made available over the past several weeks on the Ohio Department of Education website, and updates are being added daily. Please be sure to check back often for the latest information.

Specifically, updated information to assist schools’ homeless student liaisons as they seek to serve Ohio students experiencing homelessness during this pandemic was added today to the website here.

Likewise, updates to the Education Management Information System (EMIS) data collection calendar have been made available here.

Thank you so much for prioritizing Ohio’s students during this time — your work makes such an important difference!
