Unemployment Coverage
The Ohio Department of Job & Family Services (ODJFS) recently switched to a new online system called, The Source. And thus, is experiencing longer than normal wait times assisting customers.
To assist with any potential delays, you can utilize these options:
- If your company has a current unemployment account with ODJFS, you can avoid the telephone system by logging into the ODJFS Source system https://thesource.jfs.ohio.gov/ where you can request a letter of good standing. To do that, you will need to submit the following: unemployment account number, last gross wages reported, and last payment made.
- If your company does not have an active account, call ODJFS at (614) 466-2319 and request to be transferred to either extension 22487 or 22482.
- You may also request the information from ODJFS by mail, utilizing the address below:
