Phillip was nominated by his company's President. The nomination stated that, "Phillip joined our team as an intern in 2020, while attending The Ohio State University. Where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies with Security & Intelligence as a Specialization in 2021. Phillip has been instrumental in assuring competent armed protection services to our clients. Phillip is a very capable, intelligent, and driven individual. He consistently exhibits unlimited potential. He is dedicated, focused, self-disciplined and shows remarkable leadership. Phillip consistently applies good judgement while tending to his responsibilities. I am proud and honored to nominate Phillip G. Oates as a Safer Ohio Standout."
