OHIO COLLABORATIVE COMMUNITY-POLICE ADVISORY BOARD TO MEET IN
CINCINNATI ON OCTOBER 19
CINCINNATI – The Ohio Collaborative
Community-Police Advisory Board will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday, October
19, 2017, in the Tangeman University Center, Room 400, at the University of
Cincinnati. The Ohio Collaborative will
share progress to date, discuss the “Change Starts Here” public awareness
campaign, and provide an opportunity to hear from members of the community.

In order to
begin quickly implementing the Ohio Task Force on Community-Police Relations’ recommendations,
Gov. Kasich created the Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board in
April 2015 to continue taking feedback from the public and report annually on
its work and the compliance of local law enforcement agencies. The community-law enforcement advisory panel developed
– for the first time in Ohio history – state standards that can help guide Ohio
law enforcement agencies. More than 500 agencies
employing over 27,000 officers in all 88 counties, representing about 80
percent of all law enforcement officers in Ohio and most of Ohio’s metropolitan
departments, are participating in the certification process. More than 80
percent of Ohio’s population is served by an agency engaged in the
