Projects Along I-75 Corridor Will Require Multiple Restrictions

Hamilton County (Saturday, May 9, 2026) – Multiple lane restrictions and closures will be in place through next weekend on the Interstate 75 corridor as part of three separate projects between Shepherd Lane and the Western Hills Viaduct.

Mill Creek Expressway - Phase 8C

Due to inclement weather Friday night, a lane closure on northbound I-75 has been rescheduled and will take place tonight.

Saturday, May 9:

• Single-lane (right lane) closure on I-75 North, between the Towne Street and Paddock Road interchange ramps, beginning at 8 p.m. and continuing until approximately noon Sunday.
  
  

I-75 Bridge & Pavement Rehabilitation

Lane restrictions will be in effect on I-75 South through this weekend for pavement repairs as part of the rehabilitation project through the Lockland Split, between Galbraith Road and Shepherd Lane (Shepherd Avenue). A full closure of northbound I-75 will be imparted next weekend, May 15 through 18, for repairs to be completed prior to resurfacing.

Ongoing through Monday:

• A double-lane closure on southbound I-75, between the Cooper Avenue and Galbraith Road on ramps until 6 a.m. Monday, May 11. 
• Closure of the ramps from I-75 South to Cooper Avenue; from Cooper Avenue to I-75 South; and from I-75 South to Galbraith Road, with all restrictions lifted by 7 a.m. Monday.

Friday-Monday, May 15-18:

• Full closure of northbound I-75, between Galbraith Road/S.R. 126 and Shepherd Lane, from 11 p.m. Friday, May 15, to 6 a.m. Monday, May 18.
• The left lane of I-75 North will be closed just north of the Paddock Road entrance ramp beginning at 9 p.m., followed by a full closure of I-75 North at 11 p.m. 
• Traffic will be shifted to the S.R. 126/Ronald Reagan Highway exit (Exit 10C) and detoured by way of S.R. 126 East, I-71 North and I-275 West. 
• Entrance ramps from Galbraith Road and eastbound S.R. 126 to I-75 North, as well as from eastbound S.R. 126 to U.S. 42 (Reading Road), will be closed at 9 p.m.
• All ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, May 18.
• All lanes on the I-75 mainline will be reopened by 6 a.m. Monday.

Western Hills Viaduct 

The exit ramps from I-75 North and South to the Western Hills Viaduct, as well the Viaduct in both directions, will be closed by the city of Cincinnati and Duke Energy for crews to replace overhead transmission lines running parallel to the Viaduct.

Monday, May 11; Wednesday-Friday, May 13-15:

• Daytime closure of the exits and the Western Hills Viaduct, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
• Motorists may detour by way of the Hopple Street interchange and Beekman Street.
• Southbound I-75 motorists may also follow Freeman Avenue, W. 8th Street and State Avenue.

Wednesday-Friday, May 20-22:

• Daytime closure of the exits and the Western Hills Viaduct, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
• Motorists may detour by way of the Hopple Street interchange and Beekman Street. Southbound I-75 motorists may also follow Freeman Avenue, W. 8th Street and State Avenue.
