Linn Street Reconstruction Project Update

I-75 North reopens following bridge demolition

Hamilton County (Sunday, April 12, 2026) – Crews from Great Lakes Construction knocked one out of the park this weekend, reopening Interstate 75 North nearly 24 hours in advance of their planned schedule.

I-75 North has been reopened at Cincinnati this morning following its closure Friday night for demolition of the east side of the Linn Street overpass as part of the Linn Street Bridge Replacement and Reconstruction project.

As of 6:45 a.m., crews are working to remove lane restrictions, entrance ramp closures and barricades to lift all restrictions surrounding the work zone.

Now you see it, now you don't!

Project At A Glance

The Linn Street Reconstruction Project, which is part of the broader Brent Spence Bridge Corridor and the improvements to the Ohio Phases 1 and 2 segments, includes replacing and reconstructing the bridge between W. 8th and W. Court streets and reconfiguring it to two, 10-foot driving lanes, with bike lanes and sidewalks on each side. The project will also include some minor reconfiguring of W. Court Street and Winchell Avenue, as well as replacement of the pedestrian bridge over Winchell.

Great Lakes Construction Company was awarded a contract in the amount of $46.7 million to undertake the Linn Street project, and while Linn Street is anticipated to be reopened to traffic in the fall of 2027, all work is scheduled to be completed in late spring of 2029.
