Interstate 75/Mill Creek Expressway Projects
Lane restrictions on northbound I-75 this week; crews preparing for Paddock Road ramp closures next month
Hamilton County (Tuesday, February 24, 2026) – Evening and overnight lane restrictions will be in place this week on the Interstate 75 corridor as part of the Mill Creek Expressway - Phase 8C Widening Project.
On Wednesday and Thursday, February 25 and 26, single-lane closures will be in effect on I-75 North, between the Towne Street off-ramp and the Paddock Road interchange, for crews to install temporary lighting. The lane closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. the following day.
Looking ahead...
As part of the Mill Creek widening project, contractors are preparing for the next phase of construction which includes improvements to the Paddock Road interchange.
Beginning in March, crews will be working to reconstruct the concrete pavement on the ramps to and from southbound I-75, and this will require two, 10-week closures, starting first with the ramp from I-75 South to Paddock Road.
On Wednesday, March 11, the southbound ramp to Paddock Road will be closed at 10 p.m., and the closure will remain in place until Thursday, May 21. Once this ramp reopens, the ramp from Paddock to I-75 South will close. Currently, this ramp closure is scheduled tentatively to go into effect Friday, May 29.
During periods of either ramp closure, motorists will be re-routed by way of S.R. 562/Norwood Lateral.
Of course, all work is weather dependent, and the schedules are subject to change. For ongoing traffic, construction and weather-related information in Hamilton County and throughout the state, visit www.OHGO.com.
