DEFIANCE COUNTY: Highway construction update

Week of May 2, 2022

LIMA, Ohio (Friday, April 29, 2022) The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Defiance County next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

 


US 24

U.S. 24 PROJECTS

(Closure delayed two days) U.S. 24 westbound exit ramp to Baltimore Street in the city of Defiance will close on April 27 for approximately 90 days to reconstruct the embankment. Visit the project webpage.

TRAFFIC IMPACT

Detour: U.S. 127 to U.S. 24 eastbound back to Baltimore Street.

 


State Route 66 north of the city of Defiance may be restricted to one lane for drainage repairs.

State Route 49 between the Paulding County line and the Williams County line will have lane restrictions for crack sealing operation.

State Route 18/State Route 281 at the railroad crossing just east of Hire Road on the east side of the city of Defiance, will be restricted to one lane at the railroad crossing until the crossing is repaired.
