Construction Update

Upcoming ODOT Work This Week

Through the week ending April 6, 2019: The following traffic advisory includes road construction and major maintenance projects requiring long-term lane restrictions and/or closures along the state and federal highway system in Brown County. BROWN COUNTY

C.R. 13 (North Pole Road) is closed at the North Pole Covered Bridge, located at overlap between TR 28 (Eagle Creek/Upper Eagle Creek roads) and TR 233 (Maynard Road), for bridge replacement. A new bridge will be built, and the existing bridge will remain in place but be closed to traffic. Motorists will be detoured locally via TR 28 and CR 49B.

S.R. 41 is reduced to one lane near S.R. 763, just north of Aberdeen, due to a slip. A construction project to repair the site has yet to be outlined, and until such time that repairs can be completed, traffic will be maintained with temporary signals.

Construction is under way for the installation of a conflict warning system at the intersection of U.S. 68 and S.R. 123. Crews are installing signs and beacon lights on both routes, and throughout the project, traffic will be maintained on both routes with the use of flaggers as needed. All work should be completed in early spring. (#18-0412)
