PROPOSED ELMORE BRIDGE PROJECT
OPEN HOUSE PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING
BOWLING GREEN (Monday, August 20, 2018) - The Ohio Department of
Transportation (ODOT) will host an open house public meeting to update the
community on the Elmore Bridge project. The purpose of this meeting is to present information regarding a proposed project on the State Route 51 bridge (Elmore Bridge) over the Portage River. Based on the most recent bridge inspection, it has been determined that rehabilitation is not feasible for the existing bridge, so instead it must be replaced. Based on coordination with the State of Ohio Historic Preservation Office, the project will be an adverse effect on the bridge which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Please join us Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Elmore Community Center (410 Clinton Street, Elmore, OH
43416) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. You are welcome to attend at your leisure any
time during open house hours to review the exhibits and ask questions. Representatives
from ODOT and the consultant team will be available to provide information,
answer questions, and discuss the proposed project. There will be no formal
presentation. Additional information and supporting documentation will be posted on
the ODOT District 2 website at: http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D02/Pages/PublicMeetings.aspx.
