ADDL Staff Attends the 62nd Annual AAVLD Meeting in Rhode Island
Drs. Tony Forshey (State Veterinarian), Jeff Hayes (Pathology Section Head & Interim Co-Director), Jing Cui (Bacteriology Section Head), and Yan Zhang (Avian Serology/Molecular Diagnostics/Virology Section Head & Interim Co-Director), as well as Kerri Lawrence (Quality Assurance Officer), Jon Cook (Chief Information Officer), Melanie Prarat (Researcher), and William Hennessy (Information Technologist), represented the ADDL at the 62nd Annual Meeting of the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians in Providence, Rhode Island from October 24-28.
Melanie presented in the FDA Vet-LIRN's Fundamental Requirements for an FDA Regulatory Laboratory Data Packet Symposium, providing instructions for preparing and submitting actionable data packets that may be used to support FDA regulatory action. Topics included the importance of a complete laboratory data packet, minimum data requirements, and the importance of chain of custody and traceability of samples.
