Radio System Upgrade

Dear Public Safety and Technology Subscriber,

At 0930 today 4/15/2025 there will be a series of software updates pushed out the radio system. Due to redundancy and other protocols in place there should not be any effect on the user, but console users should have backup resources at the ready in the event there is an unforeseen issue.

We do not anticipate it, but there may also be a period of busy when trying to use a radio. The update will be taking half of our repeaters off the air followed by the other half once the first half has been restored. This will decrease the volume of PTTs that can be handled during this period and users might get a bonk when trying to key the radio. Thus user should wait a few seconds and try the transmission again. Again, we do not anticipate this will be an issue, but there is the possibility.
