What:
Council President Shannon G. Hardin and Councilmember Shayla Favor will convene a joint hearing of the Criminal Justice and Judiciary and the Rules and Reference committees to hear community feedback on a legislative package to lower penalties for marijuana offenses and help formerly justice-involved residents reenter the workforce.
All interested citizens are invited to offer public testimony, with comments limited to three minutes. Anyone wishing to address City Council on this matter must fill out a speaker slip between 8am-5:30pm on the day of the hearing at Columbus City Hall.
This hearing is available on WCBZ Channel 22.6, live stream on the CTV website and broadcast on Spectrum, Channel 1024; WOW, Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse, Channel 99. The video will be posted on the City of Columbus YouTube channel following the event.
