The hearing will be held this Thursday, October 18 (6 pm) at the Restorative Justice Center, 733 Broadway in Kingston. You do not need to register in advance to speak. Comments are typically limited to three minutes. Spanish translation is available.

On October 3, Ulster County Executive Metzger unveiled the 2024 Executive Budget for Ulster County in a budget address in the Town of Marlborough. The budget proposes significant investments to improve bridges and roads and tackles challenges communities face related to housing, climate protection, mental health, and more – all while not raising property taxes. The proposed budget, delivered to the County Legislature for review and final approval, paves the way for a brighter future for Ulster County.
Ulster County’s New Housing Action Fund
Ulster County is tackling housing affordability head-on with County Executive Jen Metzger's "Housing Action Fund" (HAF). Approved by the Ulster County Legislature on August 15, this groundbreaking initiative kickstarts with an initial $15 million allocation from the County's surplus budget. The HAF will provide gap funding to catalyze development of housing that is energy-efficient, climate-responsible, and, most importantly, affordable to our residents.
