NYSTRS is pleased to announce we are returning to Saratoga Springs for the 2022 Annual Delegates Meeting! The event will be held Sunday, Nov. 6—Monday, Nov. 7 at the Saratoga Springs City Center. After two virtual annual meetings, we look forward to seeing our delegates and alternates in person again!
The agenda includes our traditional full slate of educational presentations about NYSTRS' benefits and our strength as a pension system, our popular Delegate-Board/Staff Discussion, and the election of a Teacher Board Member. Juliet C. Benaquisto, a teacher in the Schenectady City School District, is the incumbent up for re-election this year to serve the 2023-2026 term.
Please note the following important details about the meeting:

- While we can field questions raised during the meeting's Delegate-Board/Staff Discussion, we encourage you to submit your questions in advance to ensure we can provide you and other delegates with the most comprehensive researched answers during this segment. Send your questions to us at convdel@nystrs.org by Oct. 14.
- With respect to the election of a teacher Board member:
- The Rules of Procedure for the conduct of the election are available on our website.
- Ms. Benaquisto is automatically on the ballot as the incumbent. Nominations for other teacher Board member candidates will be accepted through close of business on Oct. 14, 2022. Nominations must be made using the form available on our website. Only forms completed in full and submitted electronically will be accepted. Nominations will not be accepted after Oct. 14 and cannot be made on the day of the election. It is NOT necessary to submit a nomination form for Ms. Benaquisto as her name will automatically appear on the ballot.
- Advance registration is required for the event. Watch your inbox in mid-October for the link to register. In case circumstances prevent you from attending in person, we are planning this as a hybrid event. Those attending virtually will have access to all the same sessions as those who join us in Saratoga.
