Delegates Meeting – Board/Staff Q&A

As we previously communicated, the 2020 Annual Meeting of NYSTRS Delegates will be held virtually on Monday, Nov. 9. For your reference, a tentative meeting agenda is available on the Annual Delegates Meeting page of our website.

The meeting will include an election of a Teacher Board Member, as well as informational presentations about the System and our benefits. Also included will be an hour-long Q&A session with the Board and staff, a popular feature of our in-person meetings.

Relative to the Q&A session, to avoid possible technical difficulties associated with asking questions in real-time, we ask that you submit your questions in advance this year. Questions should be emailed to convdel@nystrs.org. The deadline for submitting a question is Tuesday, Oct. 13. For your reference, here is a summary of the 2019 Q&A session.

To answer as many questions as possible, similar questions will be grouped together and answered thoroughly. Depending on the volume of questions received, it may not be possible to address every inquiry.

Even though we will not be able to meet with you in person this year, we will make this year’s meeting educational and enjoyable. We will send you additional details, including information for logging into the meeting, as the event draws nearer.
