The New York State Office of the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU) is seeking eDiscovery Support Specialists for its Electronic Investigative Support Group (EISG) based in Rensselaer. The mission of MFCU is to investigate, prosecute and bring affirmative civil cases against individuals and corporate entities responsible for improper or fraudulent Medicaid billing schemes, as well as to investigate and prosecute allegations of abuse and neglect of residents in nursing homes and other residential healthcare facilities.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic to work in a team environment. Applicants must be hard working, motivated, well organized and task oriented. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and Relativity and/or Concordance software is a must, as is the ability to learn new computer applications. Prior experience with multiple eDiscovery platforms is preferred.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Support staff located statewide with eDiscovery requests and case management assistance.
- Support case management duties, including researching, organizing and reporting the Unit’s case data utilizing various software applications.
- Support applications specific to eDiscovery.
- Load data from outside entities into various eDiscovery platforms.
- Troubleshoot problems with software applications and handle service calls with vendors.
- Research and recommend different eDiscovery solutions, as appropriate.
- Apply software and license updates to case management and eDiscovery applications.
- Handle confidential correspondence and data.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
