The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is hosting two Public Information Meetings on The Draft Hudson River Estuary Habitat Restoration Plan on September 18, 2013 in Staatsburg and on September 24 in Hudson. The Plan will guide restoration and protection actions to sustain priority habitats in the Hudson River estuary and tributaries from the federal dam at Troy to the Tappan Zee Bridge.
The Draft Hudson River Estuary Habitat Restoration Plan is available on the DEC website at http://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/4920.html. Written public comments on the draft plan will be accepted through September 30 and may be submitted with the subject line “HR Restoration Plan” to hrep@gw.dec.state.ny.us.
The Public Information Meetings will include a presentation about the Draft Hudson River Estuary Habitat Restoration Plan as well as designated times for the public to present comments. Written comments will also be accepted at the meetings. Dates, times, and locations of the meetings are listed below:
