This link opens a fact sheet that invites public comment about a proposed cleanup to address contamination related to the Tonawanda Forge Site #915274 (Tonawanda, Erie County) within New York’s State Superfund Program:
DEC is accepting public comments about the proposal through October 2, 2026.
DEC has also scheduled a public meeting on Wednesday September 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Kenmore Branch Library, 160 Delaware Rd, Kenmore, NY, 14217, to discuss the amended cleanup proposal and accept public comments. Please see fact sheet for details about the proposal, meeting, and comment period.
