This link opens a fact sheet that provides an update about the environmental cleanup status for the Greater Corning area (Corning, Steuben County) and invites public comment about a proposed cleanup plan:
DEC is accepting public comments about the proposal through October 31, 2025.
DEC has also scheduled a community availability session on Thursday, October 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Corning to update the community about the ongoing efforts to protect human health and the environment, and accept public comments. Please see fact sheet for details about the proposed cleanup, availability session, and comment period.
