This link opens a fact sheet that invites public comment about a proposed expedited cleanup of contamination related to the Dzus Fastener Co., Inc. site #152033 (West Islip, Suffolk County), within New York’s State Superfund Program:
DEC is accepting public comments about the proposal through July 30, 2025. Please see fact sheet for details about the proposal and how to comment.
DEC has also scheduled a community availability session on July 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM at West Islip High School, Cafeteria A/B, 1 Lions Path, West Islip, 11795 to discuss the expedited cleanup proposal and accept public comments. Please see fact sheet for details about the proposed cleanup, availability session, and comment period.
