NYSDEC Announces a Virtual Public Meeting and Extension of Public Comment Period for Syosset Park Lots 251 and 252 Brownfield Cleanup Site |
Virtual Public MeetingWednesday, January 27, 2021 Live via WebEx: https://meetny.webex.com/meetny/onstage/g.php?MTID=e1d8bf20bb8a24cc23352a802066d24c2 The public is invited to a WebEx virtual meeting starting at 7 p.m. New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) and New York State Department of Health (DOH) project experts will provide a presentation detailing the Brownfield Cleanup Program, the site history and proposed site cleanup plans, and answer site-related questions from the public. The initial public comment period for the work plan ended on January 11, 2021. Due to requests from the public and elected officials, the public comment period is being extended and all comments must now be submitted by February 10, 2021. DEC will consider those comments prior to the finalization of the cleanup plan.
