Elmira High School Former Sperry Remington Property Cleanup - Update About Cleanup Activities; Virtual Public Availability Session Scheduled

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is committed to overseeing a careful and thorough cleanup of portions of the Elmira High School property (Site ID C808022) and keeping the Elmira community informed of our actions. Our top priority is ensuring that students, faculty and visitors do not come in contact with any of the site's below-ground contamination. As part of this commitment, Unisys, under its Brownfield Cleanup Agreement, is continuing a comprehensive cleanup of the site.

The attached newsletter (link below) provides updates about ongoing investigation and cleanup activities we are coordinating with New York State Department of Health (DOH), Unisys, and Elmira City School District. It also includes contact information for our experts who are available to answer your questions.
