NYSDEC Extends Public Comment Period 30 Days to April 29, 2019 for the Proposed Remedy to Address Contamination Related to the Katzman Recycling Superfund Site, Granville,

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) issued a Proposed Plan for the site on February 26, 2019. A public notice which discussed the issuance of the Proposed Plan was provided to those subscribed to the Site mailing list and the DEC listserv for Washington County. Based on a request from the public, the comment period has been extended 30 days to April 29, 2019.

The Proposed Plan, Remedial Investigation, and Feasibility Study are available at the following locations.

Comments received during the comment period, as well as oral comments received at the March 21, 2019 public meeting, will be documented and addressed in the Responsiveness Summary section of the Record of Decision, the document which formalizes the selection of the remedy.
