Be an Earth Hero

Earth Day, April 22, is a day to reflect, respect and advocate for the earth and its many landscapes. While our actions to protect, preserve and conserve our environment shouldn't be limited to one day, we hope Earth Day inspires you to introduce new habits into your daily routines.

Take this one week challenge (beginner):

  • Swap a plastic water bottle for a reusable water bottle.
  • Turn off the water while brushing your teeth.
  • Turn off the lights when you leave a room.
  • Eat your leftovers to reduce wasted food.

Be an Earth HeroTake this one week challenge (advanced):

  • Go plastic free.
  • Reduce your shower time by a quarter.
  • Turn your heat down or skip the air conditioner.
  • Learn new recipes with food you might have otherwise thrown away.

Download the Conservationist for Kids! Spring 2019 issue, Be an Earth Hero. Kids can learn to take actions to help the earth each and every day by reducing plastic pollution, saving water, protecting native plants and animals, reducing wasted food, and keeping our air clean! No action is too small for an Earth Hero.
