Supporting Green Business in Your Community 

A Climate Smart Communities (CSC) Webinar

Would you like to support the expansion of green businesses in your community? Local leaders can play a key role in helping green businesses thrive in their communities through planning, outreach, and incentives. Two programs available in New York to support businesses in becoming more sustainable are DEC’s New York Green Business (NYGB) program and the Green Business Partnership (GBP). This Climate Smart Communities webinar will describe the benefits of promoting and participating in these two programs. Speakers will discuss how local governments can leverage these programs to support the growth of green businesses in their communities.

If you plan to attend, please provide your name, email and community affiliation to the DEC Office of Climate Change at climatechange@dec.ny.gov or 518-402-8448. In the event that we postpone the webinar, respondents will be notified. Registration is recommended but not required.

To join the webinar on February 8th, follow these steps:

  1. First, click on this link: https://meetny.webex.com/meetny/onstage/g.php?MTID=e9d331847fc754110c8dc00eecf7aac76
  2. Enter your name and email address.
  3. Enter the meeting password: NYSDEC1
  4. Click "Join".
  5. Audio by phone: Click “Call Me” in the onscreen “Audio Connection” box and enter your phone number to have the system call you. Alternatively, call 1-844-633-8697 and enter the Event Number: 315 214 183, followed by your Attendee ID (which will be displayed on your screen in the Event Info tab) to join the audio portion. (The Attendee ID is recommended but not required.)
  6. Audio via computer: To listen via your computer's built-in audio or via VoIP, go to the Audio menu and select "Call Using Computer". For more details, review this short video: https://help.webex.com/videos/1290

Please join the webinar at least five minutes early to allow yourself time to get connected. Note that you may have to download the WebEx plug-in and/or restart your internet browser to connect to the webinar.
