The Role of Community Engagement in Creating Local Climate Action Plans

A Climate Smart Communities (CSC) Webinar

Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

New York State has reaffirmed its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 40 percent by 2030 and 80 percent by 2050 (from 1990 levels). Broad, community-level participation is critical in meeting these goals. How can local governments engage their communities and inspire a grassroots response to climate change? This Climate Smart Communities webinar will offer guidance on facilitating inclusive, community-driven planning processes and creating local climate action plans that reflect community priorities.
