Staying Warm with Clean Energy: Renewable Heating Options and HeatSmart Tompkins

Webinar: Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Winters in New York can be brutally cold and most buildings expend significant amounts of energy on heating and hot water. This Climate Smart Communities webinar will introduce new technologies that make the buildings we live and work in more comfortable and cost-efficient, as well as less polluting. These technologies include super-efficient air- and ground-source heat pumps and modern methods of air sealing and insulation. Webinar participants will also learn about HeatSmart Tompkins, an initiative that is accelerating the implementation of these technologies and helping residents of Tompkins County move away from fossil fuels by offering lower-than-market rate pricing and vetted installers.
