Beat the Heat with Free Access to State Park Swimming Pools All Summer
As part of Governor Hochul’s “Get Offline, Get Outside” campaign, swimming pool entry fees will be waived at all New York State Parks this summer. Along with free access to pool swimming, the Governor has initiated a pilot program to offer free sunscreen at state park pools to stay safe in the sun and enjoy the outdoors. Helping to promote physical and mental health, as well as affordable experiences, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation looks forward to welcoming individuals and families to all its locations during the summer months.
New Yorkers can swim for free at the following state park pools this summer:
Hudson Valley
New York City
Long Island
Capital Region
Mohawk Valley
Southern Tier
Finger Lakes
Western New York
North Country
Regular parking fees still apply for state parks that include a vehicle use fee to park.
