New York State Park Police Officers are highly trained specialists, dedicated to helping people and protecting the state’s natural and historic treasures. Since 1885, our Park Police Officers have been preserving the peace within our parks!  

Today, officers continue to provide safe and enjoyable recreational opportunities for all our visitors. While every day might be different, State Park Police conduct criminal and non-criminal investigations, handle crowd control at concerts and large events, lead swift water rescue missions, and patrol our state waterways and trails.
