Keep the Card, Get the Discount

Plan ahead for 2022, hold on to your current Empire Pass Card for savings.

Your Empire Pass card will expire on 12/31/2021. By keeping your existing card you will be able to renew and reuse it for the 2022 season at a discounted rate.

When can I renew? Renewals will be available for online purchase in mid-November.  Keep an eye out for a follow up email in a few weeks with more details, or check parks.ny.gov

I do not have my card, nor do I have a digital copy saved in the NY State Parks Explorer App; can I still get the discount? If you don’t have an Empire Pass card nor a digital version in the Parks Explorer App to reuse, you will need to purchase a new one at full price so be sure and keep your card in the future. 

I only have a digital copy of the pass in the NY State Parks Explorer app; can I still take advantage of the discount? Yes, the digital copy can be used to renew. Please note that you will not be mailed a new physical card, if you require a physical card there would be a $17.00 replacement fee.
