Pick Up the Poo

New Rochelle City Code (§ 281-4.1) says it’s your responsibility to remove any dog or cat waste from your property, including the area between the sidewalk and the curb.

The Buildings Department enforces this requirement, and violations may result in fines of up to $250 per day.

A quick, daily cleanup before Noon helps keep our streets clean and welcoming for everyone.

Rental Heat Requirement

NY State requires landlords to keep spaces at a minimum of 68°F through May 31st.

If your rental is dipping below that mark, reach out to the New Rochelle Department of Buildings at (914) 654-2035 weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Any heating issues on the weekend can be reported to the Heat Hotline at (914) 654-4809.
