Customers currently supplied electricity by Con Edison are invited to learn more about a new municipal energy supply program helping residents and small businesses access renewable energy at competitive fixed-rates. A new contract will begin November 1, 2024.

Street Tree Inventory underway
To identify the content of our urban forest canopy and take appropriate steps to protect this vital ecosystem, the City of New Rochelle has launched a comprehensive Street Tree Inventory. Over the next few months, the City’s consultant Arbor Pro will use GPS and Arborist expertise to perform mapping and data collection on New Rochelle’s over 20,000 urban street trees, with the ultimate purpose of creating a comprehensive forest management plan. Mobile Shredder at City Hall Saturday, September 21
Shredding personal documents serves a double purpose: to recycle paper, and to protect sensitive information against identity theft, the fastest growing crime in the nation. Residents can bring up to four file-sized (10”x12”x15”) boxes of confidential papers per household. Remove all large binder clips and covers. Papers from businesses, institutions or commercial enterprises are not acceptable and will be rejected, as will any junk mail or newspapers.
