Mayor Yadira Ramos-Herbert delivered her inaugural State of the City Address at the Remington Boys and Girls Club on Thursday, April 11, highlighting the CIty's strong economic landscape, community investment, infrastructure improvement, revitalization efforts and the power of collaboration.

Join us at the 2nd Annual Earth Day Festival
April 20th 10AM-4PM at Anderson Plaza

Earth Day Festival at Anderson Plaza

This free event will feature sustainability organizations, a yoga session, live DJ and photo booth, local vendors,  interactive art activities, and more. All welcome! 🌎 🌱
TRAFFIC ADVISORY:  Anderson Street will be closed to through traffic from 7AM Saturday to 7AM Monday.


Neighborhood Cleanup

Neighborhood Cleanup Monday 4/22-Friday 4/26

Join your neighbors for the first New Rochelle Neighborhood Clean Up to help remove trash and debris in our community. Sign up as an individual, family or team, pick up your supplies at City Hall, and then clean up your neighborhood at your leisure or participate in a downtown cleanup. This is a great project for groups and families.

New Rochelle Parks Clean-Up Weekend is an annual event that brings the community together to beautify New Rochelle’s parks and foster civic pride.

Booth spaces are still available for TagNR Community-wide Tag Sale to be held on Saturday, May 4. $50 registration fee secures the spot and is refundable to sellers who attend the full day. Register by April 29.  Information and application

Summer Youth Employment graphic

Summer Youth Employment applications now available

New Rochelle youth and young adults are encouraged to apply for summer positions through the New Rochelle Youth Bureau’s Summer Employment Programs. Each program operates 20 or 25 hours per week for six weeks during July and August and pays $16.00 per hour. The deadline to apply is May 10.

An Informational Open House will be held on Tuesday, April 30 at City Hall for parents/guardians and youth, with sessions at 5 and 6PM. Register today!

Help for homeowners facing foreclosure

Now extended to June 2024: a temporary program will assist struggling homeowners who have fallen into foreclosure status by waiving City interest and penalties due on unpaid taxes, allowing residents to focus on the principal.
