Social media workshop for businesses- Thurs. 11/16
Come learn what really works, and how to put it into action for your business at this free event for New Rochelle residents and/or business owners. Sponsored by the City of New Rochelle in partnership with WEDC and WBC Westchester. A workshop in Spanish will be held on November 30.

 Giant balloons! Floats and bands! Plus vintage cars and firetrucks, dancers, singers and marchers from local schools, businesses, community organizations and Iona University and Monroe College-- and a special appearance from Santa! Join in the fun on Saturday, November 18 when the 59th annual parade kicks off at 10AM on North Avenue at Eastchester Road, and marches to the downtown to end at Bonnefoy Place. Congratulations to Minister Mark McLean, this year's Grand Marshal, and to the New Rochelle Firefighter's Union UFFA 273 on their 100th anniversary!
Veolia Webster Avenue Water Main Replacement Project Starts 11/15
Beginning Wednesday, November 15, Veolia will begin work on Webster Avenue from Mayflower to Main Street to upgrade their water distribution system. To minimize impact on traffic, Webster Avenue will be closed to traffic only in the work zone, on weekdays from 8:30 AM to approximately 5PM. The first work zone will be south of the Mayflower intersection to Coligni Ave. No water service interruptions are planned by Veolia at this time.
Please observe posted parking restrictions and detours, travel carefully in the area and use alternate routes. For more information, visit mywater.veolia.us

North Avenue Bridge Overnight Work
New York State Thruway Authority overnight work to demolish the North Ave. Bridge outer lanes requires lane closures and traffic stops on I-95 and North Avenue from 10PM to 5AM and 6AM respectively. There will be no work during Thanksgiving week. This work is anticipated to conclude in late November. Seek alternate routes around the work zone.

Stormwater Mitigation Assistance
Property owners affected by flooding from the July 2023 storms can apply for New York State grants of up to $50,000. The program is being administered through Habitat for Humanity-NYC and Westchester.
The City’s assessment grievance process is available for property owners who have experienced chronic flooding or whose property has sustained damage that has not yet been repaired, affecting market value. Information on the process is available on the Assessors website www.newrochelleny.com/assessor.

City Hall will be closed next week on Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Next week will follow a holiday collection schedule:
- Monday: Garbage/Trash North End
- Tuesday: Garbage/Trash South End
- Wednesday: Commingled recycling citywide

Holiday Market at the Train Station begins Nov. 24
New Rochelle is getting in the holiday spirit and pulling out all the stops for all ages with this festive Holiday Market in a charming winter village setting at the bustling New Rochelle Train Station! Featuring over 60 vendors, the market shines a spotlight on local MWBE businesses and will also feature a food truck village, the beloved ice skating rink, performances from local talent and activations inside and outside of the train station.
The market will run November 24-26 from 12-8PM, and from November 27 to December 17 from 12-8PM weekends and 4-8PM weekdays.
