Early Voting continues through November 5
Early voting is available at two locations: City Hall Annex, 90 Beaufort Place, and the New Rochelle United Methodist Church, 1200 North Avenue (rear entrance). The general election is Tuesday, November 7.

Asphalt stamping on North Avenue 11/3-11/11
Roadwork on North Avenue in the vicinity of Summit Avenue will reduce traffic to two lanes during work hours 9AM to 3PM, weekdays and Saturdays 11/3-11/11. Please observe posted parking restrictions and travel carefully in the area.

North Avenue Bridge Overnight Work
New York State Thruway Authority overnight work to demolish the North Ave. Bridge outer lanes requires lane closures and traffic stops on I-95 and North Avenue from 10PM to 5AM and 6AM respectively.This work is anticipated to conclude in mid-November. Seek alternate routes around the work zone.

Holiday Market construction starts at Train Station 11/5
Taxi drop-off and parking affected
Effective Sunday November 5th, the taxi drop-off area in front of the New Rochelle Train Station, and the parking spaces closest to the Metro North tracks, will be closed for construction of New Rochelle’s Third Annual Holiday Market. The front kiss and ride lot will remain open for taxi and passenger vehicle use. Due to this change, the City of New Rochelle recommends utilizing STATION PLAZA SOUTH (off Huguenot Street) for pick- ups and drop-offs. Thank you for your cooperation!
The Holiday Market will run from November 24 through December 17, featuring 60 unique vendors with a wide array of gifts and delectible holiday treats.

City Manager Gill Releases 2024 Proposed Budget
The $305.5 million budget complies with NYS tax cap legislation and embodies a commitment to essential services, public safety, community support, economic development and critical infrastructure. The City Council will engage in budget review meetings in November and December, with a public hearing on December 5.

New Director for the Office for the Aging
Christine Sanders has been appointed as the new Executive Director for the Office for the Aging, succeeding longtime director Phillis Maucieri who retired earlier this year. Under the Department of Parks and Recreation, the OFA is dedicated to providing comprehensive physical, therapeutic and educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of our dynamic senior population, with headquarters at the Hugh A. Doyle Senior Center, 94 Davis Avenue.

Hispanic Heritage, Italian Heritage Celebrated
Two events in October paid homage to the legacy and achievement of these vibrant communities. The Hispanic Heritage Month event featured a screening of a powerful documentary and the Italian Heritage Month shined a spotlight on beloved patriarch Joe Fosina.

59th Annual Thanksgiving Parade
There's still time to sign up as a participant, sponsor or volunteer for the Thanksgiving Parade, kicking off Saturday November 18 at 10AM with marching bands, floats, vintage cars, dancers, singers and marchers and more! The parade route goes along North Avenue from Eastchester Road to just south of Main Street at Bonnefoy Place.

Holiday Market at the Train Station Begins Nov. 24
New Rochelle is getting in the Holiday Spirit and pulling out all the stops for all ages with this festive Holiday Market in a charming winter village setting at the bustling New Rochelle Train Station!
The market will run November 24-26 from 12-8PM, and from November 27 to December 17 from 12-8PM weekends and 4-8PM weekdays.

Join neighbors for an educational evening that takes a proactive step in combatting substance abuse, addiction and mental health issues. “Community Conversations” are held monthly through the end of the year. The next conversation is at Parkside Place on November 30 at 6PM.
